Van Freiheit |
Van's become quite the pilot over these few
years. at the beginning of the GF saga, he's enlisted in the Republican
Military, which he is the rank of a Lieutenant, and is being trained by
General Kruger. After completing of of the toughest Zoid pilot tests in the
military, Van decided to go back to his home, the Wind Colony to visit his
family and stuff. He and Zeke are nearby the ruins outside the village,
remembering old times, when Zeke finds a trashed Gustav. Van and Zeke rush
over to help the people trapped inside, when who does he find but Fiona and
Dr. D. He takes them to his sisters' where they are able to get better. Fiona
is ok and goes to find Van, who is at his dad's gave. Van has a brief run-in
with a man named Hiltz, and as he is walking back a red Organoid attacks him.
Fiona throws Van's dad's blade and Van defends himself and then Zeke rushes
him. The Organoid runs off, and then a Stealth Viper, the same one that was
attacking military bases in both the Empire and Republic starts shelling the
village. Van mops the floor with it. Afterwards, Van gets a call that he has
been asked to join the Guardian Force, a task force jointly created by both
the Empire and Republic to protect the peace. Fiona says yes for them, and Van
agrees. Van's piloting skills improve significantly as the story goes, and
eventually he is able to pilot without his organoid for help.
Naturally he still loves Fiona deeply, and is
still best friends with Zeke. He's matured since the first series, both as a
pilot, and as a person, although you can still see that it's Van, cause he
still has his same sense of humor and funny mishaps.
|
 |
Zeke |
Van's best buddy, and most reliable combat
partner, Zeke himself hasn't changed much personality wise. He's very
important in the series, both as a partner, a friend, a warrior, and comic
relief. Zeke has the power to fuse with another Zoid, thereby enhancing
its overall performance. As Van becomes more skilled, and the demand he
puts on the Blade Liger becomes greater and greater, he nearly totals it.
To compensate for this, Zeke power increases, so the Blade Liger can meet
it's full potential. This results in a 20% increase in all function and
performance of the Blade Liger.
|
 |
Fiona
|
Fiona has grown up quite a bit herself. When
the series starts, she is working with Dr. D on the excavation and
research of ancient Zoidians, in an attempt to learn more and find Zoid
Eve, and recover her memories. After Dr. D becomes sick, she goes with him
in a Hospital Gustav. the Gustav is attacked, but they are saved by Van
and Zeke, who happen to be in the area. Afterwards their happy reunion,
she and Van become members of the Guardian Force, and she is always by his
side.
She's a very sweet girl, like always,
although she can be very stern when she has to be. She very smart too, and
makes very good tactical judgments (with a few exceptions). She loves Van
very much (as we all know). As the story progresses, she learns little by
little, more about her past and her memories.

 |
Irvine
|
The more things change the more they stay
the same. Irvine's still got the tough-guy attitude, but on the inside
he's a good guy, and is one of Van's most reliable friends. He disappeared
for some time, working as a mercenary and such, then eventually being
hired by a group that was stealing Zoids. He meets up with Van, who is investigating
the same group (Irvine secretly is too), they join back up to beat the bad
guys. He runs off for a while again, but comes back when he finds
out Raven's back, so he comes to help Van. He did pilot his Command Wolf
for a while, but Raven's Geno Breaker put an end to that. With Dr. D's
help. The "brains" (combat data), of the Wolf were transplanted
into the Lightning Saix, which became his new Zoid.
|
 |
Moonbay
|
Still sassy as ever, very confident in
herself, and cute too, haha. She meets back up with the gang when she rescues
Thomas's crapped-up Dibison. She pilots her Gustav still, but it nearly
gets totaled when she used it as a shield to protect Van from the Geno
Saurer's Charged Particle Cannon (gun, beam gun, whatever you wanna call
it). It does get fixed though. At the tail end of the series, she gets the
pleasure of piloting the massive Ultrasaurus.
|
 |
Lieutenant
Thomas
Richard Schubaltz
|
Lieutenant in the Imperial Army, on
assignment with the Guardian Force. Karl's little brother, he respects him
greatly, and follows orders from his superiors very well. Mistook Van for
a criminal when they first met, and had a crush on Fiona when he first
laid eyes on her, Van he and Van didn't get along great at first, but
later became good friends.
Usually serious, but gets goofy around
Fiona, he's a good guy though. He has great knowledge in machines, and
even created his own artificial organoid, an AI connected to the Zoid Core
called Beek.
|
 |
Dr. D
|
"Mad Scientist" as he has once referred
to himself as, this guys strikes you off as a goofy old coot (just like in
the last series). But underneath all that is a brilliant man. His
knowledge of Zoids, Organoids, and Ancient Zoidians is probably the most
of anyone in the show, with the exception of maybe the Zoidians
themselves.
Some of his works include the improved
shield for Van's Blade Liger, which is 5 times stronger than it was
before. He also was able to increase the Liger's booster capacity by 40%,
the development of the Lightning Saix, and the transplant of the Command
Wolf's combat data into the Saix, and of course, the monstrous Gravity
Cannon.
|
 |
Major Rob Hermann
|
Has become a major in the Army, and helped
found the Guardian Force. He has high regard for Van's abilities, and has
become a little less arrogant than he once was. He's a skilled Zoid pilot
himself, and was the one who diffused the Death Stinger's Shield with his
Shield Liger.
|
 |
Captain O'Connell
|
Is now a
captain, and also works in the Guardian Force, usually we seem him piloting a
recon Pteras. |
 |
General
Krueger
|
Yep, the old fart's still kickin' haha. He
personally trained Van to be a better pilot, he made sure it was him that
did the training, probably cause he was with Van's dad in the military and
they were good friends. Retired after the Guardian Force was established,
but actually continued to work on the Military's secret Ultrasaurus
project.
|
 |
Colonel
Karl
Lichen Schubaltz
|
Very skilled and smart military soldier,
probably the best in the Imperial Military. He's the command of the 1st
Panzer Division, and also a member of the Guardian Force. older brother of
Thomas, often is a bit hard on him, and says he relies too much on his machines, but is very proud of him.
Loyal to Emperor Rudolf. Pilots an Iron Kong Mark II (2), but later pilots
a modified Zaber Fang.
|
 |
Raven
|
Yup, he's back.
After Van defeated Raven and his Geno Saurer way back one, he became
"dormant", like a zombie almost. He began to systematically
destroy bases, not leaving until everything was destroyed. He reawakened
after facing Van, who was defending one of the bases. Somehow gets his
hands on a resurrected Geno Saurer, shadow stops him from finishing Van
right before he was able to. This pissed of Raven, till he found out
Shadow was evolving the Geno Saurer into the Geno Breaker; an immensely
powerful and improved Zoid. Is tied to Ryss, and Hiltz, but later we see
why he is the way he is because of his tragic past. He eventually has a
turn around, and helps Van to defeat the Ultimate Death Saurer. He's one
of the most skilled pilots Van has ever faced or known. |
 |
Shadow
|
Still loyal to
Raven, this time around he's the one to evolve a Zoid, instead of Zeke (Geno
Saurer into Geno Breaker). Due to it's immense power, shadow can only
remain fused with the Geno Breaker for 180 seconds, but this is actually
impressive, because any other organoid could only last 1/3 of that time
(60 seconds). This fatal weakness eventually catches up with Shadow, and
in saving Raven, he destroyed himself. He was revived by the Dark
Kaiser, but without memory of Raven (think Zeke when he was under the control
of the Rarehurtz). Raven brings him back to his senses, and the duo is
back in action. |
 |
Phantom
|
Skilled assassin,
hired to kill Rudolf at the Grand Prix. He had a reputation of never
backing down from a job, and only needed one shot to complete the
task...until he tangled with Van and the GF, who put a stop to that.
Used a modified Gun Sniper, with a special stabilizer, and a Sniper
Rifle like that of Naomi's (from NC/Z). |
 |
|
Homaleff
|
Still acting as Prime
Minister and adviser to Rudolf.
|
 |
President Camford
|
The
President of the Helic Republic, worked with Rudolf to establish the
Guardian Force
Smart, and tough,
but also understanding, she takes her responsibilities very seriously and
will do what it takes to ensure the safety of the Republic. She is the
mother of Hermann (that's why he is so well known and respected). Long
time friend of Dr. D as well.
|
 |
Emperor Rudolf Gerhard Zeppelin
III
|
Young emperor of the Guylos Empire.
He's grown quite a bit since we last saw him (although it's a bit hard to
tell other than the fact that he's taller). Is a fair and just emperor,
very responsible, but still a kid at heart.
Along with President Camford, established
the Guardian Force to help protect peace and stability for the people of
both the Republic and the Empire.
|
 |
Dark Kaiser
|
Yeah, that's
Prozen, the guy didn't die in the explosion of the Death Saurer
(somehow). He had merged with the real Death Saurer's Zoid Core (that
gray stuff all over him), in an attempt to gain ultimate power. That's
right, the one that blew up wasn't the real thing, it was actually a
clone. Little did he know that the Core was just using him as a host,
and to protect it, as informed by Hiltz, who also told him that only an
Ancient Zoidian could control the Death Saurer. so Prozen basically got
screwed. |
 |
Rosso
|
Serves as
Rudolf's Guardian, and still pilots a Strom Sworder. |
 |
Viola
|
Serves as Rudolf's Guardian, along with
Rosso, and still pilots a Strom Sworder.
|
 |
Hiltz
|
Cool, calm, and very confident, Hiltz is the
guy behind all the uprisings the Guardian Force has had to deal with.
Often times, he actually seems to show a sense of humor when something
fails, rather than loosing his cool. Prefers to work behind the scenes,
manipulating others to do the work. He turns out to be an Ancient Zoidian
himself, and has a red Organoid named Ambient. Is able to create the Death
Stinger by fusing the remains of the two Zoids that were used to stop the
Death Saurer the first time around. Later fuses with it's core, and then
with Prozen/Death Saurer's Core to gain control over the Ultimate Death Saurer.
Meets his maker when Van decides to use the Blade Liger to plow right
through him using the Gravity Cannon (Human and Zoid Cannon Ball).
|
 |
Ambient
|
Hlitz's
Organoid. Kinda looks like Shadow but red, and has a set of spikes on
his tail. He is able to fuse with a Zoid, like all Organoids, but
also induces massive change in the Zoid (i.e. the Gun Sniper), instantly
bringing it to it's maximum fighting potential. He also has the ability
to partially resurrect a Zoid that has already had it's Zoid Core hit,
and turned to stone, and is able to repair the Zoid Core. |
 |
Ryss
|
An Ancient
Zoidian herself, AKA The Blue Devil. She has the ability to tap into
someone's mind, and literally drive them insane. She can control an
ancient type of insect Zoid, that can latch onto a human or Zoid, and
control it. Has an Organoid named Specular. She is originally in
alliance with Hiltz, but after Van saves her she starts to see things in
a different light. has a not-so-secret crush on Raven, and actually
helps him make a turn-around.
Originally pilots a Double Sworder,
then switches to a blue Geno Saurer, which is a hybrid of a the Geno Saurer
and Geno Breaker. It gets destroyed by Hiltz though. |
 |
Specular
|
This is easily
the creepiest Organoid, and the one that most stands out from the other
3. Specular is also able to induce massive change in the Zoid it fuses
with (such as making the Double Sworder much larger and more powerful). Also
is able to produce Psycho Waves that can control people. |
 |
Niccolo
|
Lived in the
village of Nordenz, and has a white Helcat. Helped Van out when none of
the villagers would. Was inadvertently killed by Ryss when he got in the
line of fire to protect Van and company
with his Helcat. Very nice kid, very cheerful, and has a love of Zoids
and wanted to become a Zoid Pilot.
Here's the creepy part: Niccolo was
said to have died 10 years ago during a Republican raid of the village.
He died saving Ryss, who he found, and was close friends with. But
then...how was Van able to talk to him, and ride in the Helcat with him,
even though he was said to have died, the Helcat was stone (indicating
it hadn't been used in years), and how did he get in the ay to save Van? |
